HOW TO SPOT A FAKE PAIR

Fakes have gotten good. The bad ones are still easy, but the top tier copies fool people who have been buying for years. Here is what we check on every pair before it goes on the shelf.

Stitching first. Real factories run a consistent stitch count along the panels. Counterfeits wander. Look at the stitching around the swoosh and along the toe box, and count if you have to. Loose threads and uneven spacing are a hard no.

Logo shape next. The wings logo, the swoosh, the jumpman, all of them have a shape the factory does not change. Fakes get the outline close and the proportions wrong. Put a known real pair next to it and the difference jumps out.

Then leather and smell. Real leather has grain that runs in no pattern at all. Fake leather repeats. Glue smell means a rushed factory. Press the toe box and watch how it creases back.

Last, the box and the tags. Font weight, label placement, size run, and the style code should all match the retail release. One wrong digit and the pair does not sell here.
