Dangerz Kickz & Collectibles LLC wants every customer to be able to browse, search, and buy on this site, including people who use screen readers, magnifiers, keyboard only navigation, voice control, or captions. This statement explains what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us about a problem.
Accessibility is not a feature we bolted on at the end. We treat it as part of building and running the store. When we add a page, a product filter, or a checkout step, we test it for keyboard access and screen reader support before it goes live.
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium and are the standard most often used by courts and regulators. Level AA covers contrast, keyboard access, clear labels, and predictable behavior.
● Every product photo has descriptive alternative text, so a screen reader can say what the item is.
● Headings run in order, so users can jump through a page by structure.
● Every form field has a visible label that is linked to the field in code.
● Color is never the only way we show meaning, and error messages use text as well as red.
● Text and background colors meet the contrast ratio required at level AA.
● You can reach every link, button, filter, and checkout step using only the keyboard.
● Focus outlines are visible, so you can see where you are on the page.
● A skip to main content link appears when you press tab on any page.
● The site reflows on a small screen without a horizontal scroll bar.
● Videos in the gallery have captions, and we are adding transcripts.
● Nothing on the site flashes more than three times per second.
We are honest about the gaps. Some older product photos still carry short alternative text that names the item but does not describe its condition. A few blog posts published before this statement contain tables that a screen reader announces poorly. Some third party widgets, including an embedded social media feed and the payment window, are built by other companies, and we do not control their code. We have raised these issues with those companies and we check their progress.
We test with the screen reader built into recent versions of Windows, with the one built into Apple devices, with browser zoom set to two hundred percent, and with the keyboard alone. We test in the current versions of the major browsers. Older browsers may not give the same experience.
Tell us. Email dan@dangerzkickzcollectibles.com or call (941) 769-3237. Please describe the page you were on, what you were trying to do, the browser and device you used, and the assistive technology if any. We will confirm we got your message within two business days and give you a plan within ten business days.
If any part of the site blocks you, we will complete the purchase for you. Call or email us with the item and your size, and we will take the order, read the description aloud, describe the condition, confirm the price, and send a secure payment link. There is no extra charge for this.
We audit the site at least once a year and after any major redesign. Staff who add products are trained to write useful alternative text. We add accessibility to the brief we give any developer we hire.
If our reply does not resolve the issue, you may escalate to the owner, Daniel Price, at the same email address, marking the subject line as a formal accessibility complaint. We take these seriously and we keep a record of each one.
Accessibility does not stop at the website. If you plan to visit us in person and you need step free access, a wider aisle, a chair while you try on a pair, or extra time at the counter, call ahead and we will have it ready. Service animals are always welcome.
The owner holds final responsibility for accessibility. Anyone who writes copy, uploads a photo, or adds a product to the store is shown how to write alternative text and how to write link text that makes sense out of context. A link that reads see details tells a screen reader user nothing, so we write see details for the Jordan 1 Black Toe instead.
A barrier that stops someone from completing a purchase is fixed first. A barrier that makes a task harder but still possible comes second. A cosmetic issue comes last. We do not close a report until the person who raised it agrees the fix works.
The site is built to work with the current and previous major version of the leading browsers, paired with the current version of the leading screen readers. Very old software may not read our newer components correctly. If you must use an older setup and something breaks, contact us and we will read the page to you and take your order by phone.
Our review combines automated scanning with manual testing by a person. Automated tools catch missing labels and low contrast quickly, but they cannot judge whether alternative text is actually useful, whether a focus order makes sense, or whether an error message explains how to fix the error. Those things need a human, so a person walks through the whole checkout every time we ship a change.
This statement will change as the site changes. If you know of a fix we have missed, or a tool that would help, please write to us. Our customers have taught us more about this than any manual has.
